New Stars Foundation partners with a Disability School in Tanga where they support kids to access quality education, accommodation, attire and food. These kids come from various parts of Tanzania.
The Centre is looking for wheelchairs for our kids, as the school is in 700 meters walking distance. “We need wheel chairs to help us go to school by ourselves”.
In our Centre for disabled, we have 63 kids, 53 of them already have wheelchairs, 10 still need one. And some need to be replaced soon.
If you are interested in sponsoring one of our kids, we would be more than grateful to you! A sponsorship enables them to get good quality hospital treatment, accessibility tools like wheel chairs and basic needs like food and sanitary pads.

My name is Tumaini, I’m 10 years old. Village elders rescued me from my family. All my life, I was locked inside. I didn’t receive any love, no baths and I was very weak and malnourished.
My name is Meshack, I have been in and out of hospital for therapy.
My bones are so weak that they can break anytime.
My family was not able to afford to take care of me.
We are Maria and Neema. Our stories are alike. After giving birth to us, our mothers were chased from their martial homes by their clan and family. They said that they have brought a curse to the family.
The Centre took us and our mothers in.
My name is Amina. Due to my disability, my community rejected me.
I was rescued and brought to our Centre.
My name is Ibrahim, I am 9 years old. My father rejected me due to my disability. Thanks to my school for rescuing my life. Can you help me get a wheelchair and other basic needs?

My name is Rehema. Like many other kids here, my family can not afford to take care of me. The Centre rescued me and gave a me a wheelchair. However, by now it is worn out. I can’t pull myself to school anymore.
My name is Johnson, I am 6 years old. I stayed with an old lady who is a relative. When my mother gave birth to me, she was still a teenager. So she ran away and left me behind. I was never been taken to hospital before. But it would be good if the centre could take me to a specialist to check if I need any surgery and I also need a wheelchair.
My Name is Joshua and I am 6 years old. I have not started school due to my disability. I am currently staying at the Centre but I do not have walking support. Can you support me with a wheelchair please?
