Support The Next Generation

In Tanzania, there are millions of kids who live in the deepest poverty. Their mothers can’t earn a living while taking care of them, others don’t even have parents anymore.
Most of these kids live in terrible conditions for their entire lives; many others die of malnutrition, illnesses or abuse.
Only a few of them are fortunate enough to get a second chance, such as our kids at New Stars Foundation.
Please support us so we can continue to help them.

Why We Need Your Help

We take care of over 30 kids who would otherwise not have the chance to get education. We are employers of 5 women working in full-time and hire women of our women empowerment program regularly. We also hold workshops to train women. Our school and workshops are free. However, we do not receive any funding.
That is why we need your support.
So we can:

  • Buy food and water for the school
  • Buy school material
  • Pay the rent and electricity of the school
  • Pay the wages of our teachers and caretakers
  • Provide support in emergencies or if help is needed (e.g. to buy medicine, hygiene pads, hospital fees)

Raise Fund to Buy a Piece of Land

With this fundraise, we would like to buy a piece of land with access to water and build our school on it. Our current school requires a high monthly rent, which we would like to use to invest in the future of the kids and the school instead!

Sponsor a Kid

By sponsoring one of our kids, you will change their future! Many of our kids are supposed to start their primary school. However, this is involved with huge costs. Click here to find out more about this.
Your monthly sponsorship would go into every cost that we have to support your partner kid.
The rest is used to cover our operating costs and therefore to support the other kids and women of our organization.

What’s the difference between a direct donation, sponsorship, the disability program and the campaign?

All of these type of donations fulfill different purposes. If you don’t want to invest in something specific, a normal donation will help so we can put the money where it is needed most at this moment.
Here’s a brief description of the purposes:
Direct Donation: We put the money into what is needed most at this moment. Most of the time, it will be the operating cost of the school.
Sponsor A Kid: The education of this specific kid comes first! We cover all of its costs and the rest goes into our monthly expenses
Disability Program: We buy wheel chairs and reusable pads for the Centre for Disability in Tanga.
Build Our School Campaign: The money is invested into buying a piece of land so we can build a bigger school in the future, where we can also educate and train our kids with disabilities. We also want to use the land to do small-scale farming (vegetables and eggs) and invest the 300 000 TZS for meaningful change instead.
